Most likely the CPU Fan or CDROM.
1. Try spraying out the fan intake & exhaust fins with a can of compressed air first.
2. Is there a disc inside the CDROM?
3. Has the PC started to go slower or crash?
4. Getting warm on the bottom?
5. Any plastics missing from the case after that drop?
What Model # is the laptop - it should be on a sticker under the bottom.
Thanks,
Kevin
