Greyhound Board of Great Britain's Role ? Rash Guard Blog

For the management and regulation of the licensed greyhound racing sport in England, Scotland and Wales, the Greyhound Board of Great Britain or GBGB is the body in charge. Well, it is a newly formed body and the role of this body is to ensure everything goes well in the sport in the United Kingdom. ?

GBGB was only officially introduced as a single, unified body for the management and regulation of the licensed greyhound racing sport in England, Scotland and Wales January 1, 2009. And it has only taken the responsibilities of the National Greyhound Racing Club and the British Greyhound Racing Board. But so far, it has been well-known to many greyhound breeders, owners and trainers even around the world as a a self-contained body ensuring that everything really goes well in licensed greyhound racing sport in as big as England, Scotland and Wales.

And just recently, Barry Faulkner opted to be the new chief executive of GBGB. Thus, GBGB for sure will become a better body. However, Faulkner shall remain as the general manager of the Bookmakers Afternoon Greyhound Services or BAGS and then the secretary of the Association of British Bookmakers most likely until June 1, therefore Faulkner should still wait for when it is already possible to finally take the new position with GBGB. But Faulkner could finally have the said position and GBGB could just start becoming better in no time for sure.

Specifically, the role of Greyhound Board of Great Britain or GBGB was set to a role on rendering a service that is effective and accountable to everyone in the licensed greyhound racing sport in England, Scotland and Wales. And so far we believe that it has been rendering such kind or type of service in England, Scotland and of course Wales.
