IBS sufferers ? what foods do you have to avoid ? and help with a ...

We?re having a house guest this evening who has irritable bowel syndrome, and I?m not sure whether she can eat anything we?ve planned to have.

I?m questioning whether I can use ingredients like cream cheese and sour cream?.someone told me to avoid onion, onion powder and pepper, but I honestly don?t know. There?s a group of people coming so I hate not to prepare dishes which are tried and true?..but I certainly don?t want to cause her problems or put out food that she?s not able to eat.

The main course we?re planning is pot roast. If I was to set some aside and prepare it for her seperately, how should I prepare it?

If you have any recipes that you especially like, please include that in your response if you have time. Thank you!
