Giants RB Brandon Jacobs has sprained MCL ... - Fantasy Sports

New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs didn't practice Friday, but that shouldn't surprise anyone; he hasn't practiced all week, and we found out why earlier today. Sources have told ESPN that Jacobs has a sprained MCL. The injury is regarded as "mild," but it's expected that he'll miss Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks. He is listed as doubtful on New York's injury report.
"I thought he would [make more progress], but that hasn't been the case," head coach Tom Coughlin said of Jacobs on Friday. "I don't know if it's a setback, but there is some swelling that has not subsided." FANTASY ANALYSIS: The obvious expectation here is that Ahmad Bradshaw will see a little extra work this week. The Seahawks have not been great against the run -- oh, so they shut down Chester Taylor at home -- and I expect the Giants to get ahead early in this game, meaning only more clock-draining carries in the second half. Bradshaw is a high-end RB2 this week. Danny Ware will pick up any leftover work in the Giants' backfield. He's a shot in the dark.
